Not sure which pack or computer to buy? ♢ Practical links. Hi, Simmers! So I've finally made the decision to download and use MC since I get bored easily playing with the content that is in the game.

I have NEVER used CC/mods before, and I am a little nervous, as I've had friends download CC/mods that would corrupt their game, lead to weird glitches, etc.But that's why I'm here to ask you, fellow simmers, if someone could help walk me through how to download MC Command Center onto my computer (MacBook Pro) and maybe give me a quick rundown of it? I've read so many blogs/watched so many videos that I honestly feel overwhelmed! Thanks in advance!. If you need a visual guide, I'll be happy to show you, it just may take a bit since I have a lot of school work to do this week.1) First, you got to download iZip Archiver from the App store.

It's free and is used to unzip.zip &.rar folders. It's not going to give you any viruses.2).

Download the McCommand Center from I recommend doing this in a separate place (like downloads)3). Open up your Sims 4 mods folder (Electronic Arts - The Sims 4 - Mods in a separate finder tab/window4). Either double click on the MC Command Center file or open up iZip and click open and select the file.5). Once the file is opened, copy & paste the file's contents directly into your Mods folder (DO NOT DELETE THE Resource.cfg file, this makes your mods/cc work)6). Close this stuff, and open up your sims game.

Make sure you have 'enable script mods' option on. If not, do this. This makes CC/mods enabled.7). Load up a household and it should have a notification saying 'welcome to MC Command center version x'You're done! If you are having any other issues is a good chatroom that has people ready to help.I've never gotten a virus from downloading CC or corrupting my game.

Commands

To be on the safe side, don't download CC from The Sims Resource or any link throug ad.fly.I hoped I helped!:).

Like @aparkison said, we moved to Tumblr with MCCC.Discord support chat link:And if posting is still your joy, I have a thread on Sims 4 (enUS) officials, here:Why we left MTS, I reposted Deaderpool's comments about that to the above thread, here:Hope this helps!Between computer issues and burn out from my as of yet uncompleted vampire troubleshooting, I stepped away from the Sims and as a result the community. I hear about Parenthood though, and got excited to come back -despite knowing I have to do a lot of catch up on my Mods and CC- this, however; was NOT pleasant news to come back to.Thank you so much for taking care of us though EG! You're a lifesaver, as always.I have to say, I have always preferred MTS for downloading my mods and CC. It's easy to use, well organized, and has a system that encourages creators to share important information with their users and allows an easy format for discussion and troubleshooting. I also trust them for safety in my downloads.

Other download sites(Don't even get me started on TSR) and Tumblr(I hate the organization there, and having to wade through tagged posts to find downloads when a creator hasn't organized their tumbler well) just don't encourage or provide these things NEARLY as well. I find it a real shame that so many modders and creators are flocking away and the community here is shrinking. That said, I am COMPLETELY on DP's side here. Things like this are clearly one of the reasons the community on this site is shrinking. Not only is it silly to disallow links to VOLUNTARY donation sites which do not provided ANYTHING that isn't also provided for free once fully vetted, but the situation was clearly poorly handled.

When you can't even take the time to explain to one of your more talented members -and as such valued, by the community at least- WHY you are removing and changing their links and discuss the issue with them, you are clearly doing something wrong in managing your siteIf you need proof of DP's talent and value then just see all the many thanks posts that were left for MC Command Center. More than that, I've noticed when a new mod is released(on this site AND others) one of the first and most common questions is 'Will this conflict with MC Command Center?' And similar inquiries.Poor form MTS, poor form.I can't say I'm thrilled by this move. Nor am I looking forward to how it will complicate getting caught up -as I always like to do- on what's working correctly with MCCC, what's not and why. I hate Tumblr organization, external download links, and the way creators rarely provide enough info on their product or adequate contact information and support. Fortunately I trust DP and EG to use their amazing superpowers to keep things well organized and supported(unfortunately external download links are a necessary evil).

Seriously they are some of my favourite people in the modding community and some of the most helpful.Good luck on the new endeavor! Now. Off to go bookmark the new site and get caught up on the release notes I've missed.
